Everything to do with water pipes in and around your home. That starts with tracing and repairing leaks, and goes on to laying a new connection, rerouting pipes for a kitchen or bathroom, and replacing pipes that are outdated or damaged.
You often notice a leak not from the water itself, but from its effects. If you recognise one of these signs, water is probably escaping somewhere:
Turn off all the taps and switch off appliances that use water. Note the reading on your water meter and read it again an hour later. If the number has changed, water is escaping somewhere.
We find out exactly where the water is coming from before anything is broken open. That saves needless damage and needless costs.
If you already know where the leak is, we usually repair it during the same visit. We bring commonly used parts as standard.
A new connection for a washing machine, dishwasher, outside tap or second toilet. Laid, connected and checked.
With a new kitchen or bathroom, the pipes are rarely where you want them. Let us know before the kitchen is fitted.
Old or damaged pipes, in full or in part. Often only the affected section needs replacing and the whole installation does not have to come out.
Burst pipe? First turn off the main stopcock, usually in the meter cupboard. Switch off the electricity if there is water near sockets. Then call us straight away.

That depends on where the pipe runs and where it needs to go. Sometimes it can take another route, sometimes something has to be opened up. We discuss the options and the difference in cost with you in advance.
For an average kitchen we allow half a day to a full day, depending on how far the pipes need to go and whether anything needs concealing. Let us know before the kitchen is fitted — it saves time and money.
