- ALMERE HAVEN
What we often come across in Almere Haven
Almere Haven is the oldest part of Almere. On 30 November 1976 the De Clerk family on the Schoolwerf received the keys to the very first house in the town, and dozens of families followed shortly afterwards. The district lies on the Gooimeer and has ten residential neighbourhoods, from De Werven and De Wierden to De Velden and De Laren.
Many homes in Almere Haven are already more than forty years old. Pipes, drains and central heating connections there sometimes still date from when the houses were built, and bathrooms and toilets often need renewing.
In the Centrum and in De Hoven many people live in flats, and in neighbourhoods such as De Wierden and De Werven many residents rent their homes. With a leak, we are then happy to coordinate the work with the owners' association (VvE) or the landlord.
Is your sewer blocked? First look in the rodding point at the property boundary. Full of water usually means a blockage in the municipal sewer: call the municipality of Almere. Empty? Then the problem is on your own property and we will fix it for you.

Do you come to every part of Almere Haven?
Yes. From the Centrum and De Werven to De Gouwen, De Velden and De Laren: we come to the whole of Almere Haven. Call or WhatsApp us and you will hear straight away when we can come.
My home is more than forty years old. Do the pipes need replacing?
Not always. Many pipes last a long time, but couplings, taps, drains and sealant joints wear out. We look at what is really needed and only replace what is due for replacement.
I rent my home. Can I call you in?
With a rented home, the housing association or landlord usually arranges the repairs, so contact your landlord first. If you are allowed to call in a plumber yourself, we will be glad to help.
My sewer is blocked. Do I call the municipality or a plumber?
First look in the rodding point at the property boundary. If it is full of water, the blockage is usually in the municipal sewer and you call the municipality of Almere. If it is empty, the problem is on your own property and we will fix it.
Are you available at night and at weekends?
Yes, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. In an emergency it is best to call, so we can judge straight away how urgent it is.
Do you give a guarantee on the work?
Yes. You get a 1-year guarantee on the work carried out and 4 to 5 years on the products fitted.
Do you speak English?
Yes. We can help you in Dutch or in English. English-speaking residents of Almere Haven are welcome to call or message us.
