- ALMERE POORT
What we often come across in Almere Poort
Almere Poort is the youngest district of Almere. On 23 April 2008 the first residents in the Europakwartier received their keys. Since then Poort has grown between the A6 and the IJmeer, with the Homeruskwartier, the Columbuskwartier, the Olympiakwartier around the station and Duin right by the beach.
Young homes are not maintenance-free. Here too, sealant joints come loose, traps and couplings start to leak and drains get blocked. And anyone who later wants to add a washing machine, dishwasher or outside tap needs a new connection for it.
In the Homeruskwartier many people had their own house built on a self-build plot. As a result, every installation is different. So we first look at how your pipes run before we open anything up.
Is the drain outside not flowing? Then first open the rodding point at the property boundary. If it is full of water, the blockage is usually in the municipal sewer and you call the municipality of Almere. If it is empty, the problem is on your own property and we will help you further.

My home is new. Can something already be leaking?
Yes. Even in a young home, sealant joints can come loose and traps or couplings can start to leak. If the problem is still covered by your builder's guarantee, report it to them first. Otherwise we will fix it, preferably before any water damage occurs.
Can you connect a washing machine, dishwasher or outside tap?
Yes. We lay the supply pipe and the drain and connect the appliance or tap neatly. Send us a photo of the spot beforehand so we can judge what is needed.
My drain is blocked: do I call the municipality or a plumber?
First look in the rodding point at the property boundary. If it is full of water, the blockage is usually in the municipal sewer and you call the municipality of Almere. If it is empty, the problem is on your own property and we will fix it for you.
Are you available at night and at weekends?
Yes. We are available 24 hours a day, weekends included. In an emergency, call us so we can judge straight away what is needed.
