A bottle of drain unblocker from the supermarket rarely gets rid of a blockage properly. We remove the blockage at its source with professional equipment and then check that the water flows away normally again. We do this for a single drain, but just as well for the sewer pipes of the whole house.
There are usually warning signs before a drain is completely blocked. If you notice any of the following, don’t wait too long:

Do not pour fat or frying oil down the sink, and put a hair catcher in the shower. Also do not flush wet wipes down the toilet, even if the packaging says ‘flushable’. Those wipes are by far the most common cause.
