Your boiler keeps your home warm and usually also provides hot water for the shower and the kitchen. If it stops working, you notice straight away. Since 1 April 2023, only a company with a CO certificate may carry out servicing, repairs and replacement on a gas boiler. Klusbedrijf MSZ is CO-certified, so the work is done safely and according to the rules.
Do you recognise any of these signs? Then have the boiler checked:
Carbon monoxide (CO) has no smell. Headaches, nausea or drowsiness at home can be a sign. If so, switch the boiler off, open windows and doors, go outside and call 112 if anyone has symptoms. A CO alarm near the boiler is a small expense.
An older boiler is best checked every year, a modern boiler often once every two years. We clean it, adjust it and check the combustion.
No hot water, a fault code or a boiler that keeps cutting out? We find the cause and fix the fault, or tell you honestly when replacing it is the wiser choice.
An old boiler replaced with a new high-efficiency boiler, connected to the gas, water and flue, and then safely put into operation.
Renovating or getting a new kitchen? Then we move the boiler to another spot, for example to the loft, and reroute the pipes with it.

According to Milieu Centraal, the Dutch independent advice centre on energy and the environment, it is best to have an older boiler cleaned and checked every year by a CO-certified installer. For a modern boiler, once every two years is often enough. You can agree this with the installer.
That depends on the brand and model of your boiler. Send a photo of the type plate via WhatsApp and you hear in advance what the servicing costs.

VAT (€35 excl. VAT). If the job takes an hour or less, you pay €223.79 incl. VAT in total in Lelystad, excluding parts. Parts are charged separately. Top up the boiler as the manual describes and keep an eye on the pressure for a few days. If it drops again, the system is probably losing water somewhere, for example at a radiator, a pipe or the pressure relief valve. Call us and we will trace the leak.
First check the water pressure, whether the boiler has power and whether the gas tap is open. Then press the reset button once. If the fault comes back, call us and tell us the fault code the boiler is showing.
It is worth considering. Milieu Centraal advises that when you choose a new high-efficiency (HR) boiler, you also look at a hybrid heat pump. With one, you can use considerably less gas. We do not install heat pumps ourselves; for servicing, breakdowns and replacing your boiler you can come to us.
Call us or send a photo of the boiler and the fault code via WhatsApp. We will tell you what is probably wrong and when we can come round. In an emergency, it is better to call than to send a message. If you smell gas, first call the national gas emergency number (Nationaal Gasalarm) on 0800 9009.
